John Hargrove ha trabajado para Roper Corporation desde 2012 como ingeniero de dise\u00f1o, trabajando con el equipo de modelo independiente del a\u00f1o. Los grupos de afinidad son grupos fundados con prop\u00f3sitos de inclusi\u00f3n y diversidad. A trav\u00e9s de diversas perspectivas y objetivos compartidos, los grupos de afinidad garantizan un entorno inclusivo donde todos son valorados, incluidos y empoderados para tener \u00e9xito.<\/p>\n

\u201cLos grupos de afinidad son extremadamente importantes para la moral y la cultura de Roper, ya que es una comunidad \u00fanica que reconoce la importancia de la diversidad\u201d, dijo Hargrove. \u201cEl equipo de Roper tiene todas las etnias y diversas creencias religiosas y pol\u00edticas que se unen aqu\u00ed en LaFayette. El grupo de Hargrove cre\u00f3 un programa llamado \"Power Hour\" en el verano de 2019 que trabaja con estudiantes en el Club de Ni\u00f1os y Ni\u00f1as del Condado de Chatooga. Desde entonces, aproximadamente 150 estudiantes de edades comprendidas entre los 8 y los 16 a\u00f1os han recibido ayuda con tutor\u00eda y tareas despu\u00e9s de la escuela. \u201cLa tutor\u00eda ayuda a garantizar que tengamos una comunidad s\u00f3lida\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Hargrove. \u201cPosiblemente estemos creando futuros ingenieros y una fuerza laboral s\u00f3lida que puede ser la pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n de empleados de Roper. Y el hecho de que estemos ayudando a los ni\u00f1os que forman nuestra comunidad ayuda a brindar apoyo para retener a los empleados actuales \u201d. Nueve miembros del grupo de Afinidad del foro afroamericano se re\u00fanen con los estudiantes dos d\u00edas al mes durante tres a cuatro horas en cada visita. El programa permite a Hargrove y a sus compa\u00f1eros miembros del grupo de Afinidad ver el valor que Roper tiene para su comunidad y sus empleados. Hargrove dice que el programa ha revitalizado su orgullo como empleado de Roper.<\/p>\n

Roper cuenta con ocho grupos de afinidad, cuyos objetivos generales son el reclutamiento, la retenci\u00f3n y el servicio comunitario. Trabajar y ser voluntario dentro de la comunidad ayuda a educar a los j\u00f3venes y promueve estos tres objetivos. En los \u00faltimos 2 a\u00f1os, los miembros de los ocho grupos se ofrecieron como voluntarios durante m\u00e1s de 2000 horas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n
